Notes

We visited all five Dambo Trolls in Rhode Island, two NPS units, and photographed eight lighthouses.

From Boothbay Harbor, we took a tour to visit a Puffin hatchery which is being maintained by the Audubon Society,

This was our trial roadtrip for driving to Maine. Our first day drive from Chapel Hill to Hartford CT was too long and hard a day because of traffic. Next time, we will stop in New York near the Tappan Zee bridge to shorten the drive.

US 68 was under construction in Kenton and Dunkirk Ohio. On the Dunkirk detour we encountered an Amish buggy and a Cyber truck. Both are rare sightings.

We were forced to use I 675 through Saginaw northbound because they were resurfacing the Zilwaukee bridge northbound. 

The GPS took through local National Forest roads to bypass Mio in both directions.

Drove over the Cuomo bridge (Historically Tappan Zee) for the first time.

In Copenhagen, we bought a 72 hour City Pass Small at a kiosk in the airport, which covered our travel on local trains, Metro, Harbour Bus and City Bus. The system was on the honor basis. Our tickets were checked by a conductor once on the Metro and once on the bus to the cruise terminal.

The Kotka-Hamina bus driver took cash and gave change.

In Helsinki, we bought a day pass at a kiosk at the Tram stop, good for trams and the ferry to Suomenlinna. The system was on the honor basis.

In Stockholm, the harbor bus took a tap to pay credit card or Apple Pay as a ticket good for 75 minutes on the harbour bus and the T. The Arlanda Express had its own platform, where you bought tickets at a kiosk and boarded the train. There was a discount for more than one traveler. The train reached at least 205 kph.
